Christine von Marburg (played by Melanie Griffith) enters Sonny's life while he is investigating the death of a man who was thrown off his balcony 20 stories up. The trail comes to an escort service run by Marburg; the truth emerges, and a sting is set to net the big fish, Kenneth Togaru (played by George Takei of Star Trek fame). The character of Izzy Moreno appears again, this time as a "Boudior [sic] Photographer", misspelled on his sign, and we discover Sonny's birthday is July 29th.
