An inmate that Sonny helped put into prison is scheduled to die in the electric chair. He calls to see Crockett and convinces him to reinvestigate the case in which he was convicted of killing a man named Frankel. With only 48 hours, Sonny tracks down witnesses and manages to have the execution stayed - only to find out it was a setup all along - and Hackman walks free.
